Power Generation

What is power generation?

The power generation industry is a vital backbone of the modern world, encompassing all aspects and technologies used to produce electricity. From traditional coal-fired power plants to innovative nuclear energy and expanding renewable energy sources like solar and wind, power generation involves diverse technologies and intricate processes. As global energy needs continue to grow and shift towards sustainable practices, the demand for high-quality, precision-engineered components that can withstand the rigorous demands of power generation has never been more critical.

Comprehensive Power Generation Manufacturing Solutions

power generation machining

Machining for Enhanced Efficiency

Our state-of-the-art machining services ensure that every component we produce meets stringent specifications with exact tolerances. Whether it’s creating complex turbine blades for wind farms or crafting intricate components for nuclear reactors, our precision machining capabilities enable power generation facilities to operate at peak efficiencies. This meticulous attention to detail not only enhances the performance but also extends the lifespan of the equipment, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.

power generation fabrication

Advanced Fabrication Techniques

Our advanced fabrication techniques are at the forefront of manufacturing large-scale, robust structures needed in power generation, such as frames for solar panels or housings for generators. We use the latest technology and materials to ensure that every fabricated piece offers maximum durability and reliability. From sheet metal work to heavy steel fabrication, our comprehensive services are designed to meet the diverse needs of the industry, supporting everything from prototype development to full-scale production runs.

At Armes Precision, we support OEMs and utilities in the power generation industry with high-integrity machining and fabrication. From turbine components to transformer supports and structural assemblies, our process is engineered for reliability, scalability, and full traceability.

1. Quote Submission & Technical Review

Submit your RFQ with drawings, models, and specifications. Our team reviews every request with an eye toward:

  • Structural welding requirements (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.6)

  • Material sourcing and availability (carbon steel, stainless, aluminum)

  • Fit, form, and function in assembled power systems

We’ll identify manufacturability issues early and provide optional DFM recommendations if needed.

2. Clear, Competitive Quotation

Within 1–4 business days (depending on scope), we provide a comprehensive quote that includes:

  • Part and assembly pricing

  • Weld certification requirements

  • Estimated lead times based on shop load

  • Optional value-engineering feedback (e.g., weldment vs. machining tradeoffs)

We’re used to quoting both prototype-level builds and high-volume repeat components.

3. Order Confirmation & Resource Planning

Once we receive your PO, the job is digitally released into our APS and MES platforms, where it is:

  • Scheduled based on labor and machine availability

  • Assigned a unique traveler with all required certifications and checklists

  • Material and subcontracting (e.g., blasting, coating) are procured and tracked

4. Fabrication, Welding, and CNC Machining

Large weldments and structural frames are fabricated by certified welders to AWS D1.1/D1.6 standards. Our machining capabilities allow us to:

  • Machine heavy and complex fabrications to tolerance

  • Maintain alignment and flatness across multi-weld assemblies

  • Integrate precision features into structural steel and plate components

5. In-Process & Final Quality Control

We integrate QA throughout the build process:

  • Weld inspections, fit-up checks, and dimensional verification

  • Visual and documented in-process inspections

  • Final quality review with dimensional reports, CoCs, and NDT (as required)

When needed, we support customer or third-party witness inspection protocols.

6. Preservation, Packaging & Delivery

We offer corrosion protection, part marking, and packaging per customer spec. Skid-mounted assemblies and custom crating are available for oversized or heavy parts. On-time delivery to power generation sites, distribution hubs, or integrator locations is standard.
